Best Cafés in Bath, UK - by a local

It is now almost six months since I moved to Bath. While that isn't a particularly long period of time, I have seen every corner of the city and know my way around as well as any Bath-born.

If you end up going to any of these (strongly recommend), feel free to share your experience in the comments, I'd love to hear all about it!

If you are a coffee connoisseur, this is the place for you! If you are not, do not fret.

This place offers six different coffee beans (which change regularly) for you to choose from according to your preferences.

It is simpler than it sounds and the coffee is truly amazing. Why not go and try something new?

And while you're there, make sure you try their carrot cake, absolutely delicious.

Colonna and Small's is the blue cafe on Chapel Row, in front of Queens Square.

This café (pronounced Kek-Olo, meaning coffee) was opened in November by a lovely couple after they finished Uni.

The coffee is delicious, the pastries as well and you have to try one of their Special Hot Chocolates, they are ₤6.75 but they are huge and include a piece of cake.

It is super easy to find, as they are right down Milsom Street, in the heart of Bath. Pop in for a chat with their friendly staff and enjoy!

It is also a great café for students, by the way, my friend and I always go there to study, and fantastic for people watching.

Though slightly pricier, this gorgeous bakery has delicious treats and drinks and definitely merits a visit. It reminds me a bit of () in London.

You should definitely try their Blood Orange Tarts! They are amazing!

Furthermore, a great place to relax, though it is a bit noisier than Kekolo as it is considerably smaller. Nonetheless, it is a great place and the staff is so nice.

You can also see into the kitchen area and watch them make the bread. Bear in mind this is not an ideal place for allergic people, as the production area is very small.

There are two Society Cafés in Bath. A smaller one by The Corridor, in front of the Guildhall. The big one at Kingsmead Square.

Either way, the atmosphere is very relaxed and warm and the cappuccinos are excellent.

The WiFi is really good and there are so many plugs, because of this there are always people working and studying there, 10/10.

Have you been to any of these? What do you think?

What is your favourite café where you live?

Tell me in the comments!

yours truly,

Mia
